Everything You Want to Know Before You Get Started
At Studio Fit Chicago, we know that starting (or restarting) your fitness journey comes with plenty of questions. Whether you’re brand new, returning after a break, or looking for guidance that fits your stage of life, we’re here to help. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions women ask about our training, our approach, and what it’s really like to be part of our community.
I’m over 50… will the workouts be too intense for me?
Not at all. Our training is personalized for your age, goals, and ability level. Many of our members are in their 50s and 60s. We focus on strength, mobility, and energy, not high-impact exhaustion. You’ll work hard, but in a way that feels good and supports your body long-term.
What if I have joint pain or past injuries?
That’s exactly why personalized training matters. Our coaches are trained to customize movements for joint issues, past surgeries, or conditions like arthritis. We’ll help you build strength safely and avoid re-injury, so you can move and feel better every day.
Do you offer nutrition guidance too?
Yes. Nutrition is a core part of what we do. Our coaches provide practical, sustainable nutrition coaching so you can do this for the rest of your life. We help you understand what your body needs, especially during perimenopause or menopause.
Will I lose weight with this program?
Many women do see changes in weight and body composition, but our focus is on building strength, energy, and confidence first. If weight loss is a goal, we support it in a healthy, sustainable way but we never make it the only measure of success.
What makes Studio Fit Chicago different from other gyms?

Do you offer personal training for beginners?
Yes. Our training is designed to meet each woman at her current level. Whether you’re new to fitness, returning after a break, or managing specific health needs, our coaches build a plan around your goals and experience.
Can you help with fitness during menopause or perimenopause?
Yes. Our team includes trainers certified in menopause wellness and women’s nutrition. We design programs that consider hormonal changes, energy levels, and symptoms like hot flashes or joint pain so you can stay strong and feel better through each stage.
What is semi-private personal training?
Semi-private training at Studio Fit means working out in a small group of women (up to 6), with each person following their own customized program. You’ll get individual coaching and form customization in a supportive, community-focused setting.

How do I get started?
Your first step is a brief call to learn if we can help you reach your goals. Once we know we’re a good fit, we’ll book your complimentary consultation. We’ll take you through a movement assessment, body composition scan, and goal setting session. This helps us recommend the best path forward based on your needs.
Do I have to be in shape before I start?
Not at all. Most of our members start because they want to get in shape. We specialize in helping women build strength, mobility, and confidence no matter their current fitness level.
I haven’t worked out in years. Will I feel out of place?
Not at all. Many women who join Studio Fit Chicago are returning to fitness after time away, usually because of work, parenting, or life in general. Our programs are designed to ease you in safely, with support every step of the way. No judgment, just progress.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. We have options if you are interested in short-term or long-term. Our memberships are flexible, and we’ll walk you through the options during your consultation so you can choose what fits your goals and schedule.
Is it all group classes, or do I get personal attention?
You’ll get personal coaching every session. Even though you’re in a small group, each woman follows her own workout plan. Our coaches are by your side for form checks, customizations, and encouragement throughout. It’s the best of both worlds.
