Join us for an empowering self-defense seminar at Studio Fit Chicago, designed to equip you with essential skills for personal safety and self-protection. Led by two highly experienced coaches, this seminar promises to be an intensive, informative, and practical session for participants of all skill levels.
Foundation Chicago Coaches: Karina Gonzalez and Elias Cepeda

Foundation Chicago is a Mixed Martial Arts community organization and center for adults and children in the inner-city’s beautiful Pilsen neighborhood. Our small-group classes apply a thoughtful pedagogy that features differentiated curricular. With low student-teacher ratios to provide a uniquely student-centered and welcoming environment. They are all about learning community self-defense and physical fitness.
Karina is an Amateur Muay Thai Kickboxing National Champion and a First degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. She has years of competitive experience and teaching expertise. Karina brings a wealth of knowledge in striking techniques, defense strategies, and ground fighting skills.
Elias is a retired amateur MMA fighter and the Head Coach at Foundation Chicago. His background in mixed martial arts provides a comprehensive understanding of various fighting styles. This makes him an excellent instructor for self-defense techniques that can be applied in real-life situations.
